Following the two sudden deaths that occurred in recent days, involving members of the Chatzigiorgis Association as well as first-degree relatives of two particularly active members of our Board of Directors, the Board has decided to place our Association in a period of mourning throughout the month of September, as a sign of respect, honour and remembrance for the deceased.

We would particularly like to remember Dimitrios Sarimpalas, who was an active and dedicated member of our Association from its early years following its foundation. For many years, he devoted his time and energy to the Association, serving both as a member of the Board of Directors and, for several years, as President of the Association.

For this reason, the event “Memories of the Harvest”, which was scheduled to take place on 12 September 2026 at the small open-air theatre in Potos, has been postponed.

May their memory remain eternal in our hearts.
